Can anyone help with my laptop keyboard problems? My dell laptop is fairly new (less than two years), but for a while it's had some very annoying keyboard problems. Pressing the L key is like pressing the F11 key, so in internet exploerer it goes in/out of full screen everytime I type an L. If I type a captial 'o' it pastes whatever was in my clipboard, and if I press I (I think it's I) it takes the computer in/out of overwrite mode. Extermely annoying in MS Word when I'm working on something. I haven't spilled anything on the keyboard, and all the keys work, just with the annoying 'side effects'. There was about two days when it suddenly started working perfectly, but since the problem has returned. Does anyone know what's wrong or how to fix it? Thanks so much.

Gateway laptop keyboard problems? I recently reformatted my laptop and I still have not downloaded any drivers for it so i'm on another computer but when I try to type on it the wrong keys come out like : a = q q = a ; = m - = ) etc... Laptop keyboard problem!? Every once in a while, my laptop goes a bit weird. When I'm in Microsoft's Live Messenger, all the keyboard's keys except for the letters get rearranged. Guys, PLS HELP ME! I have a laptop keyboard problem!!!? I have a laptop. I use it for a lot, tons and tons of keyboarding activities. I decided to connect a USB keyboard so my laptop keyboard will not be worn out so easily. The USB keyboard is working correctly, but then I notice that some of the keys on my laptop keyboard display wrong key symbols. Like for example; if i press "i" on my laptop keyboard, it displays "5". And I think there are about 10 incorrect keyboard keys on my laptop since I connected the USB keyboard. Weird laptop keyboard problem? Ok...this one is very strange. My new, 2 month old laptop has a strange keyboard problem. Once in a while the 's' key will act as if it is being held down (though it physicly is not), and 's' characters will flow along the screen, as if being pressed. Pressing any other key will stop the flow of S's. After that, pressing the s key will have no result. Pressing the s key very hard, and then pressing it normaly again will return its function to normal again, only for it to happen a few minuets later.... I have taken the key out, and can see no dirt. Nothing has been spilt, and i have kept the whole laptop very clean. Suggestions please?

A laptop keyboard problem.? My laptop just started to act funny yesterday. 1st, it would spam "A". 2nd, when i would press the q button it also comes out with an a so it would be like "aq or qa". keyboard problems-sometimes my letter O is ok sometimes it feels like it is sticking ? My laptop keyboard works perfectly except for the letter O. Sometimes it works ok when i tap it then other times it acts as though is is sticky. I have cleaned the keyboard with a special jet-air can for keyboard cleaning but the problems still happens. Laptop keyboard problem-jumps back several words while typing? Lately when I type something, often the letter being typed will jump back several words on the same line or it will jump up and start to be typed several rows up. Really annoying and hard to type fast. Any solutions to this? I have tried moving the cursor around, it may jump back to where it was, but sometimes not even there. When i type in the letter a it comes up as i and other letters have also swapped around. In my keyboard languages settings i have Language: united states and layout: united states 101 I have also tried turning the computer on while holding down Fn + F10, and Fn+F11 and Fn+F12 but it hasnt made a difference please help its driving me mad!

Laptop keyboard problem? I have an acer laptop. I just got it. But it was the display model. I am having problems with the keyboard. It will work for a couple minutes when I start up. But then it stops working. I have to take out the battery for awhile then start back up and it works. What can this be how can I fix this? I checked it's properties and it says it's working properly. There is no warranty on it.

The keys 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, are not working on my keyboard - I used the on screen keyboard to type them, by the way. I broke my charging cable about 6 days ago, so I haven't used my laptop since then. A new one arrived in the post today, and the laptop is working fine, - done virus scans using AVG and windows defender - no problems there. Tried restarting the PC, but still these keys don't work. Also the using the fn key and typing the numbers isn't working either. All the other keys are working fine. If anybody has any advice before I send it in to have a professional look at it that would be great Thanks, Jack

As soon as you leave a program, then it quits working again. The other issue is that it seems like my computer is loading very very slow and im lagging. This has never happened. And yes, just in advance, I have ran a spyware and virus scan and found nothing. Anyone know why my laptop keyboard would register a number when I type a letter? On my laptop, it will very frequently register a number when I type a letter (i.e. I type "J" and a "2" will show up). I usually use a wireless keyboard and it does not have this problem. Only when I am trying to use the actual laptop keyboard will it have this problem, and rebooting it usually fixes it. It is very annoying. The model is an Acer 3516 or something like that. Thank you for you help with this problem.
