Computer problems? Can some computer expert please help me here. A couple of months ago when l turned on my computer,l saw this message on the screen. Verifying DMI Pool Data........ Boot from CD. Disk Boot Failure,lnsurt System Disk and Press Enter. l first thought that there may have been some hitch in the start up because if you turned the computer off and then back on it would start up ok.Eventually the computer wouldn't start back up at all,so l put in the recovery disk and of course l lost everything.lt was like starting with a new computer.Not long after the same thing happened again.l then called out someone from a computer company,who tried everything but said l needed a new hard drive.OK l get a new one put in,everything is fine for a couple of months.Now the same thing is happening again. l would sincerley appreciate anyone who can enlighten me as to what may be the problem.Thank you

Should ineffective computer call centers be exposed? Have you spent hours trying to resolve a computer problem and gotten nowhere, even after accessing the product's help section or it's call center? Or have you had to rely on various non-related websites to resolve problems that should have been resolved by the vendor? Do you still have problems that have never been resolved? My Microsoft Outlook will not even open on one computer. Earthlink Total Access crashes two of my computers. It took three days to install the new version of iTunes because Apple didn't mention that the download and install process was frequently incompatible with Mozilla Firefox and Windows. I can't even use my Paypal account after contacting them four times. I think consumers should have a high visibility website in which to report these problems, so that vendors are under more pressure to resolve them. What's your opinion?
Boyfriend had problems with computer. Then got a random call from India saying they knew there were errors....? Phone call came through to landline. They seemed to know he had been having trouble with computer, knew our phone number and home address.... wanted him to go to logmein123.com. said they could fix errors, would cost £60. How can a person get computer problems fixed? Aproximately 90% of the answers to my questions have been wrong or too complicated for me to be brave enough for me to try. This includes many so called Help Sites, people in Best Buy Customer Service, self proclaimed geeks, etc. Is there anyone who actually knows about problem solving who is really interested in helping people? Computer Problems on (Mac & Parallels: sound and motion pics)? Hi all, I just bought a Mac and the parallels software as well. It is a great pc only the sound goes off when using a head phone of watching a clip and i must restart regardless of what i am doing to regain the sound. My mouse also moves irregular and not under perfect cotrol. Unpleasant publicity following Australian companies plans to offshore jobs to India has led Indians working in Australia-based call centres to face a tough time. "We are facing lot of problems being Indian following recent off shoring of jobs to India as decided by few Australian companies," said Harmeet, a call centre worker in Melbourne. "Australian customers get very angry the moment they hear an Indian accent without knowing the origin of the call," she said, adding "They sometimes hang up saying we don't want to talk to someone from India. They abuse and tell us we have eaten up their jobs." "They don't believe us that we are based in Australia," said another call centre worker, adding she was once quizzed by a customer on local issues of Australia when she informed him that she was calling from Melbourne. National Vice chairman of Australia-India business council Harish Rao admits Indians working in Australia-based call centres are facing a tough time following reports of companies planning to offshore Australian jobs to India. "I can't understand what is the issue if jobs are going to India. It's a part of globalisation and it should be accepted. Australia benefits in the two way trade as it exports more to India and India has never made that an issue," he told PTI. "Comparatively, China that has most of its activity in manufacturing arena attracts less publicity," Rao said. He said by off shoring jobs Australian companies can get over 30 per cent cheap labour in India. In addition, companies are unable to fill up job requirements, specially in IT sector. He said none of the Australian banks were running call centres in India and most of the jobs transferred to India were IT related, he said. Have adware problems. It is possible to determine what program on my computer is initiatiing a call? Is it possible to determine what program on my computer is initiating a call to an external computer or ad server to request sending me ads? I'm thinking that I can then use my firewall to restrict conversations with that server? How would I go about finding out what computer my computer is communicating with to request the ads? I have been having to call my phone company computer help to get the number to set my DSL up. But they are closed and won't be back for a couple days. Why do dell computer owners blame technical support for their problems they themselves have created? I heard a lot of computer owners, not just Dell, calling for technical issues, blaming the manufacturer, if not, the techs who are trying to help them, when the problems they are calling for is just something they have created. Big computer problems!? Big computer problem! I've never exactly had this kind of trouble before, but I just recently reset my computer and this problem started. I can call my boyfriend on Skype, but after a few minutes the audio gets all staticy, and then the call drops. I have no idea what's wrong with it. I'm a Dell Windows Vista user. Can someone help with several computer problems? I have a Dell 4400 (bought in 2002). It's been a piece of junk from the day we bought it. Several problems with it and I don't want to call their tech support since I can't understand them anyway (they send you over to someone in India). 1. The monitor will work for awhile then it will slowly get fuzzy. If I shut it off and wait a minuet or two then it will work..but not long so I keep doing this. 2. I stuck a disk into the ROM drive and it doesn't do anything. It wont open any of my disks I put in it. I ran a Check It diagnostics test and is said it can find it. Like I said it's been junk since I bought it so any ideas will be appreciated. Should I give up on it and buy a new one or try to get this one fixed? Having Problems with Computer any one help Please? My problem is that now every two and ten minutes i get a pop up warning me that there is a potential problem and when i click it i get a advertisement for antispyware software. One website is antispywarebox.com and the other is http://antispynet.com/. Computer headset problems? Okay, I need 'headsets for dummies' instructions. I set up my Plantonics headset last night and got hooked to the computer. I called the nice Skype test call lady and I can hear fine, but it seems my microphone isn't working. I went to their 'how to set up the audio, etc." section and everything is the way they say it should be, yet the message kept coming back that the input was too low and the microphone should be ajusted. Help my mother is having computer problems? I will explain this as best as I can. I am awesome at computers and still can't figure this one out. I spent 48hrs with my mother 2weeks ago helping her learn the computer. I even showed her how to download. Well tonight I called her to download a game. She gets to the download & saves it to program files, etc. etc. Once the download is complete IT DOES NOT BRING UP A RUN OR OPEN FOLDER BOX. I made sure she didn't have the box check that says to close this dialog after download is complete. I took her to her program files folder & she can't find the install file or this program. What is she doing wrong & why isn't it bringing up the other box to complete the download. Is there somewhere in internet options or settings where we need to change something to keep her download dialog boxes open? I can't find where. It's not even saving to her desktop. She does have the new Windows Vista so options and setting are a little different than Windows XP. Thanks in advance. I don't know if I am allowed to put in the site name but it is a very well known poker site. It has 2 versions. I downloaded one version when I was at her house & we are trying to download the second version. How do I "clean" my computer to get a fresh start and fix prior problems? Dell 8400 desktop its about 2yrs old. When I ordered it, it was supposed to have a dvd burner and a few months after I had it I realized it didn't. They sent me the burner and gave my husband instructions on how to installed it. No problems for 1year. The problem started a few months ago after my husband decided to take out the non-dvd burner drive and switch it with another dell drive. He realize it was not going to work and put things back exactly how they were before, but windows professional does not recognize either drive now. We went online and tried different suggestions on how to get windows to recognize the drives, but nothing worked. We paid a computer guy to come to our house and take a look. He said that the drives were fine, but as soon as he looked at the screen he saw that we had lots of software and folder on the desktop, he called it "junk" and said that when he sees that, that most likely its a software conflict problem.
