I seem to have a problem when viewing web pages as the pages suddenly seem way too wide for my screen and I end up having to scroll across just to read e-mail messages and some sites. I don't think I've changed any settings to cause this, however, another person has access to my computer and may have inadvertantly done something which has caused this. Can somebody help me with my computer problem? So I have had this problem with internet explorer for several weeks now. My address in the address bar never save. On rair occasion they will, but for the most part there are never any addresses in the address bar. If I close out of explorer and come back in then the addresses will be there, but if i turn my computer off or if it goes on stand by, the next time I get into internet explorer the addresses are gone. How to fix a minor computer problem? I am trying to fix my little brother's HP computer and I am not sure what the hell he did to it but it doesn't even power on. I had thought it was because of the A/C power cord but I tried several of them and they didn't work. I noticed that when I inserted the cord into the computer power socket, a green light on the outside, almost right next to the socket goes on and off when it has power so I am not quite sure what the problem is. I checked the inside of the CPU and nothing is unplugged, well wires that I know are not supposed to be plugged in aren't and the ones that are supposed to, are. Fine. Can any of you incredible people out there help me with this computer problem? I have windows vista home premium on a dell xps 630i. The computer wont boot like it's supposed to, so I put in and boot the windows vista recovery disk I downloaded. The problem is it just comes up to a blue screen. Not the blue screen of death, but just a blueish screen like there is supposed to be more on it but there isn't. Why does it keep coming to this screen and stopping? I burned the .iso correctly. I used img burn as mentioned in the countless forums i have read on how to do this properly.. I am using the disk correctly. It just loads a blue screen and nothing happens. I will be surfing the internet and suddenly it will close and a "send error report to microsoft" will pop up. Can anyone diagnose my computer problem? I'm pretty sure it's my video card(radeon 9800 pro) but heres the problem. After the computer's been shut down for awhile, when i turn it on it will keep turning off before windows loads so it takes about 5 tries for it to load. Sometimes i get artifacting on the windows loading screen and desktop too before it turns off. And also, in games(particularly UT2004) i get terrible frame rate loss on lowest settings. I used to get a steady 85(max) FPS with everything on high. So probably a video card problem?

Why does my computer restart problem when running too many programs? I'm using a custom built computer. When I first built this computer I was able to run two World of Warcraft games at one time, with no lag. Can someone help me with my computer problem? So I try to play a video file and the computer freezes up and I have to shut off power to it and boot it up again. Now I've tried several different types of video files as well as several different media players. The computer still freezes. I can play videos on websites such as youtube...but any video on the hard drive I can't I believe the problem started when my brother installed a game called "Medieval Total War II". I am also advised to check for any newly installed hardware or software. The only newly installed software I can see (not installed knowingly by me) is an application called WLinstaller. Can anyone help me with a computer monitor problem? Okay, I'm not currently home to know what it looks like, but this is what my mom has told me. We recently had a storm and the monitor will not turn on anymore and is broken, to my knowledge. That isn't the problem though. My mom tried to connect an older monitor to the computer and it works. However it displays the desktop four times. Only one set of images work, the other three are like "ghost images" and are repeats. Anyone know what's wrong? Can anyone help me with a serious computer problem? A couple of days ago when I turned on my computer it only started in safe mode. I was finally able ot get it out of safe mode. However now I can not change the color setting or screen size. I have tried everything reccomended in the Help section and nothing changes. And to make matters worse, now when I go to the Control Panel and click on Display to change the settings I get prompt asking which program I want to use to open it, and that has never happened before. He stopped using it for a while because the CD drive wouldn't read discs, but now we've got a bigger problem with the desktop we've brought the laptop out again. I have quite a difficult computer problem - all programs menu not appearing, and help has dissapeared.? After reconnecting a hard drive to the computer, the registry got all confused and lost the setting to the profiles on the pc. The desktop had icons added (as per default eg. network places) and all programs refuses to display the programs installed.
