How can a person get computer problems fixed?
Aproximately 90% of the answers to my questions have been wrong or too complicated for me to be brave enough for me to try. This includes many so called Help Sites, people in Best Buy Customer Service, self proclaimed geeks, etc. Is there anyone who actually knows about problem solving who is really interested in helping people? I wouldn't mind paying for help if I could be sure that I was not being decieved. With all the people using computers these days you would think that there would be at least a small percentage of honest, kind people out there somewhere.

- ask a kid about 17 who you know to be into computers. try local college speak to princible x
- I understand what you're asking. I've noticed many very poor answers here by people who really don't have a clue. It is very difficult to get computer help via Q&A here. Sometimes an excellent Help Desk Technician can help over the phone, but if you have severe problems, you need someone to come over and sit at your machine. Look in your local Yellow Pages and find an honest computer repair place. Bring your machine in to save more money. There are places that charge a flat fee to fix most basic problems (usually about $39). Good luck.
- i can help you, but i not guaranteed to get it sorted. I suppose its just finding the right person.
- So what is your problem?.....
- The most effective and natural way to solve PC problems (if you are a dummy) is to ask somebody who knows what to do. It's not mandatory to be a licensed specialist; an experienced older colleague will usually be good enough for common problems.
- you know, don't say in generally, say what exactly do you need, we have done something, but we can not tell you everything on line, to help, OK, but what is your problem? I fixe my computer, I don't pay anymore.
- Send me the problems in an email in Y/A's & I will take them to a friend who is a district boss & area manager for IBM & if he can't give me most of the answers, I'll be surprised. This is free ! No spam here !
